Tide – a survey of land by foot

Exploring the reclaimed marshland landscape of a working waterway in Kent; with Art at the Centre, the Faversham Sea Cadets, and Creek Creative Artist Studios. Public programmes included working with the Faversham Sea Cadets (ages 8-18) on a project about identity (civilian and uniform / personal and public), cultural trips to National Maritime Museum, London, the National Portrait Gallery, London, and involved an exhibition and series of walking tours for Kent Big Weekend festival.

Tide – four wall mounted photographic images showing marshland and water along the Saxon Shore Way, a mounted flag with flagpole, a large projection of three field study films running on a loop, and an OS map showing Faversham Creek with numbered map pins. Also, exhibition catalogues containing 28 images litho-printed single-sided in map format displayed folded below a wall-mounted poster version attached with map pins. In addition, a giant archival paper map with a pen drawing of Faversham Creek and mounted photographs, and a display of photographic images showing workshop activities and a study trip to the National Maritime Museum and National Portrait Gallery, and a captioned display of kit used by cadets. In TS Hazard, the cadets made a display of boats, flags, musical instruments and camping equipment. A total of 1,000 publications were produced for this partnership.

Also, exhibition catalogues containing 28 images litho-printed single-sided in map format displayed on a table.
