Greenpiece begins as a work played out initially over an ephemeral online platform unlikely to survive the future; and grows to occupy the physical space of an ever-changing exhibition format and accompanying series of artist books. Assemblage work from my personal image archive, spanning two decades of several major projects and photographic serial surveys. @luce_choules

The work begins with a postcard. 30 images were shared with followers and I asked them to select their favourite. The clear winner was image 28 which will be made into a postcard, although there were others which came close.

“Greenpiece 28 was made during an artist residency in 2012 following an invitation from Los Gazquez in Vélez-Blanco, Almería, Spain. This image was part of a large landscape survey series of the clay soil and pine trees, rocks and almond groves – amongst a whole load of other things, including a series of paintings about the colours of the rocks in the barranco, which are part of the residency archive at Joya AiR.”
