Confluences – a survey of land by bicycle / un levé de terrain à vélo

Exploring the post-industrial landscape of a 75,000 hectare natural park spanning France and Belgium by bicycle; with the Centre Regional de la Photographie Nord Pas-de-Calais, and the Culture and Education department of the Parc Naturel Régional Scarpe-Escaut. The creation of the Parc naturel transfrontalier du Hainaut was made by joining the Parc Naturel Régional Scarpe-Escaut in France (created 1968), and the Parc Naturel des Plaines de l’Escaut in Belgium (created 1996).

Confluences – two images digitally printed on archival paper and attached to the wall with map pins in each corner, and exhibition catalogues containing 55 images litho-printed single-sided in map format displayed folded on shelf below. A total of 2,000 publications were produced for this partnership – 1,000 copies were widely distributed (including being freely given to visitors of the exhibition) by the Regional Photography Centre gallery, 1,000 copies were produced for this partnership.
