Performing live space in a digital environment – artistic development with digital producer
Luce Choules excerpt: “I want to build professional audiovisual skills to develop an agile, responsive and adaptive environmental arts practice. I aim to understand how process- and time-based platforms can sync with the evolving situation of cultural production. I want to explore the potential of digital channels to accommodate change, new material, opportunities, collaborations and partnerships.”
Summary:
Professional development online with a digital producer / working remotely with mentors / sound recording equipment
Professional development:
Marsha Bradfield – mentor (UK)
Luce Choules – artist (UK)
Sally O’Reilly – mentor (UK)
sound Of ruins – digital producer (Spain)
Letter of support:
Veronica Sekules – director of GroundWork Gallery (UK)
“I was impressed by the range of her interests and knowledge … I invited her to speak [at GroundWork Gallery]. Her lecture turned out to be so utterly compelling, the room fell entirely silent, absolutely wrapt in attention. Her response to the mountainous environment she was describing and the pace of her delivery, was also incredibly moving – many of us had tears in our eyes.”

WORK 2021 to date
After completing the online development programme, I collaborated with Roisner at the sound Of ruins production studio – see the SEL__NOIR page for more info. This collaboration led to further projects including a 2022 audiovisual performance at AADK Spain, and the 2023 TSOEG group residency We are the Weathers in Switzerland.
